On Sunday, May 6th, 2018 the Markham Greens are holding an electric car event at the Markham GO Station.
Free public event: Prepare to be electrified! Local electric car owners share their experiences and show off their cars. Special guests: Paul Raszewski (Sr. & Jr.) of Toronto Electric Vehicle Association.
Green Party candidate José Etcheverry will speak on Ontario’s opportunity to build renewable energy capacity to power our transition to a sustainable mobile economy.
After a brief and fun pledge auction to raise funds for José’s campaign for the June 7 election, we’ll head to the parking lot for a look at the cars.
EVs on display will include a BMW i3, Nissan Leaf, Smart for Two, and Tesla Model S.
Our event concludes with the joint annual general meeting of Markham-Unionville and Markham-Stouffville Green Party of Canada and Green Party of Ontario riding associations. We will be confirming officers and setting goals for the coming year.
Guests as well as party members welcome!
